"Out of the closets into the world"

A letter to the editor of the Muse, Memorial University of Newfoundland's student newspaper, by a fourth-year education student using the pseudonym "John Novak". The writer calls on gay students to come out of the closet and speak their minds - "come together and organise." They encourage gay and lesbian students on campus to establish a homophile association on campus to give the community a place to gather outside bars and cruising grounds. They also call on lesbians to join with gay men in this organising work.
