Title
United Church to support gay rights bill
Description
An article in The Muse, Memorial University of Newfoundland’s student newspaper, reporting on the United Church’s support of a provincial bill that would protect queer people from discrimination. Unitarian leaders such as Reverand Clarence Sellars wanted to see the final wording of the legislation before officially endorsing the bill, but the United Church had consistently showed more support for the queer community than many other major religions in the province.
