The Muse's 1992 and Lesbian and Gay Issues Supplement. Contains several original contributions, some simply under the author's first name or a pseudonym, including an article on queer themes in mainstream comics; an account about coming out to one's parents; a story about a gay man and a straight man becoming friends; an account from a "Danny" about being an angry and proud queer man; discussions on commitment in queer relationships, and on coming out; a call for "equality and respect" and overview of why queer rights are important, as a "State of the Supplement Address"; an article on using magic to fight homophobia; an article on raising children as lesbian parents; an article on Christianity and homosexuality; a discussion of the "fact or myth" of bisexuality; updates on recent legal developments related to sexual orientation; an article on feeling the joy of being queer; and an article by Susan Thomson on how having some friends come out changed her view of queerness. It also includes some articles reprinted from student papers at other universities through the Canadian University Press, including one on the "Forces of Darkness" (right-wingers, conservative Christians) working against queer human rights legislation and anti-discrimination work, and one about drag queens and their political significance, including at Stonewall. Side panels include movie, music, and book recommendations, a timeline of queer history, and lists of notable queer figures in history and of historical queer couples.
