Article announcing the new Gay and Lesbian Association (GALA) at Memorial University of Newfoundland which was available to faculty, staff, and students, as well as the public. It notes that GALA hosted a Halloween dance and it is rumoured that they will have a Christmas social as well. It notes that the party was hosted at Earhart's, a new gay bar in town (which was mainly catered to lesbians), and discusses Pracilla's, another gay bar (which mainly catered to gay men).
