Title

GAIN Foresight March 1985

Description

Gay Association in Newfoundland monthly newsletter. Notes that GAIN had an ad in the Evening Telegram and mentions Blair J, a member of Gays of Ottawa that brought them a copy of "The Gay Organizer". They were looking for two men and two women to attend the International Gay Association's Annual Conference on behalf of GAIN and planned to lobby the provincial NDP party to adopt federal resolutions about the Charter of Rights in reference to sexuality. They also wrote Amnesty International to ask their position on homosexuality and wrote letters to local papers describing their association, asking for them to be printed in the next editions of these papers. The newsletter also mentions organizing a trip down to Rio de Janeiro for the Mardi Gras Carnival, and notes that their ads are now in the Body Politic, available at the health food store Mary Jane’s.
