Description
An Advertisement for Radclyffe Hall's book "The Unlit Lamp." The plot centres on a lesbian coded character who dreams of setting up an apartment with her best friend in London. This advertisement ran in the St. John's based newspaper: The Daily News. Dicks and Co was a Newfoundland based booksellers and binders that opened in 1840, the company still exists under Dicks and Company basics on Empire Avenue in St. John's.
